YogaFaith

Yoga Faith Christian Yoga Red Rocks Church

Welcome All, no yoga experience necessary, and if so all levels are welcome here!

YogaFaith unites the Yoga practice with the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Yoga, simply put means to yoke or unite. Uniting mind, body and spirit, yoga postures, breathing exercises with meditation and prayer. You can enjoy YogaFaith in the comfort of your own home through Zoom Video Conferencing to find balance, peace, wellness and complete wholeness-mind, body, spirit, and soul, through Jesus.

YogaFaith is centered on the Bible, the reliable Word of God as our guide in all that we do and seek. Uniting your faith and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g your faith can heal your body, mind, spirit, marriage, relationships, business, and much more. Every area of your life can be healed, saved, restored, and made new!

Acts 17:28: For in Him we live and move and have our being. I like how Acts 17:28 in The Message (Bible in Contemporary Language) says, “He makes the creatures; the creatures don’t make him. Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near. We live and move in him, can’t get away from him! One of our poets said it well: ‘We’re the God-created.’

When we put our prayer in motion we say thank you, God. Thank you for the gift of life, breath, health and abilities. We come before You with praise, and thanksgiving of our whole being: body, mind, soul and spirit.

A typical YogaFaith session lasts 60-90 minutes, includes prayer, meditation, scriptures, movement (“whole worship” to the Lord or “Prayers in Motion” as we like to call it), rest and stillness and may and may include praise and worship music, soft instrumental or no music at all.

Come a few minutes early prepared to worship with your whole self as the Bible declares repeatedly and to meet others in the group. Bring a yoga mat, water and an open heart. You will encounter a Living God who longs to spend time with you!

Class Descriptions Times and Days

Mondays 7pm: Every Monday starting January 4, 2021 – Intro to YogaFaith for those who are new to yoga and the elements within a class

Tuesdays 7pm: Every Tuesday starting January 5, 2021 – Beginner to Intermediate for Abs Core Strength. Yoga focuses on building core strength gradually, and consistently. Strengthening the core over time is better than working hard to develop core muscles quickly, since it does not overly strain the muscles. The practice of yoga can help develop core effectively since the practice focuses on strengthening both, the large muscles and the inner smaller muscles.

Wednesdays 7pm: Every Wednesday starting January 6, 2021 – Beginner to Intermediate for Weight Loss. Losing weight is increasingly becoming an obsession and a mental challenge. The struggles are real, making many folks push limits and worse -starting to hate their bodies. While yoga might not give immediate results, be patient, losing weight and burning calories in a slow gradual way has greater impact, and does not harm muscles or deplete important minerals. The gradual stretching of muscles and skin will eventually tone the body and help in losing fat.

NO TWO CLASSES ARE EVER THE SAME, EVEN IF THE SEQUENCE NEVER VARIES
